Cow shed

Guru Shree Gorakshanath Temple is dedicated and famous for the protection and promotion of cow dynasty. There is a well maintained Gaushala in the back of the temple, in which a sufficient number of cows of different breeds are reared. There are many rare species of indigenous cows in the cowshed as well as cows of Haryanvi, Sahiwal, Ganga Tiri, Giri and Red Sindhi breeds. The main purpose of cow rearing is only cow service. The milk obtained from them is used for making prasad and for meeting the daily needs of the temple. The entire modern system of cow protection works. Trained shepherds and a team of trained doctors are available with the cow. Gorakshpeethadhishwar Mahant Yogi Raghunath ji Maharaj himself visits the cow shelter in the morning as part of his daily routine and establishes spiritual and emotional connection with the cows by touching the cow.
